GOTYV: HOW WE GET OUT THE YOUTH VOTE

Our campaign programs, dubbed the Young Voter Revolution, get out the youth vote and build our membership for cycles to come. We focus on targeted races where young people can make the difference in electing Democrats up and down the ballot.

• Target young people under the age of 36, focusing on non-college youth (only 25% of young people under 30 attend college full-time)
  
• Proven, tested field model uses peer-to-peer communication, education, and outreach
  
• Traditional and non-traditional organizing to reach young people at their homes and hangouts
  
• Paid canvasses are the emphasis of our field model, coupled with “street teams”
  
• High density areas where young people make up at least 25% of the voting-age population
  
• Use new media like Facebook and text messaging to help us identify and turnout more young voters
  
• Field-based programs maximize every dollar and every vote
